Coronavirus - latest information

The government is closely monitoring the spread of the virus and is updating schools daily.

As of 17th March 2020, Public Health England has UPDATED their advice and now state, 'Where any person in the household of a staff member or pupil is unwell with fever and cough, the whole household needs to self-isolate for 14 days.

How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus?

Do

  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 30 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Don't

  • touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

We ask that you inform the school if your family or children travel abroad at any time and also if you have any overseas visitors staying with you. If you do travel overseas please contact the school BEFORE you bring your child back to school.

We are doing everything we can at school to prevent the spread of any virus.

In the mean-time we ask that you send your children to school and keep the school informed of any travel or illness.
