This week has been a busy week here at Bruce Grove. Health and Fitness week has been a huge success!
On Wednesday the Key stage 2 children went to Bruce Castle Park and participated in lots of fun sporty activities. On Thursday our reception and key stage 1 children had their go. Even the parents and staff had their sporty turn!
Have a a look at a few pictures below.
Today, our Year 4 children went to Scout Park, Bounds Green for a day of outdoor activities and a sleepover. So far they've been having fun and we will update this page with more information soon.
UPDATE: All the children enjoyed their archery session. 'I hit the bullseye!' exclaimed Abdulahi. As well as having fun in the sun, they made lanterns, sang songs around the campfire, and went on a woodland walk as the sun was setting. As always Mr Ghorbanian prepared a sumptious BBQ for us all - thank you very much. Then they all enjoyed a cup of Debbie's delicious hot chocolate while Ms. George read them a bedtime story.
The children will return later today, expected time at 3pm. We will keep you updated.
On Friday we will be having a non-uniform day.

Last week parents and staff came together to have a friendly football match after school. In the words of Ms. Nwaneri here's what happened:
Despite both teams starting strongly, the school staff rammed home two shots before half time through skilful passing. Frustrated, the parents came into the second half hungry and keen to make their mark. After a number of powerful shots and attempts that were disappointingly off target, the parents were thanking their lucky stars when they pulled back a goal. Soon after, the staff conceded a second goal, the equaliser. Both sides attacked fiercely keen to get the winner but with a solid line up at the back and sterling goalkeeping on both sides, neither team could get the winning goal. With both teams neck and neck at full time, the game was decided on penalties. Fans had their hearts in their mouths, tormented by save after save and missed shot after missed shot. Finally, cool and collected, a dad sneaked the ball into the bottom right corner, gaining the parents success at last.
'Man' of the match: Jessie (the parents goal keeper) and Mrs Anunobi (staff goal keeper)
