Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today, Ms. George and pupils from 4L attended a special commemorative ceremony in honour of second lieutenant Alfred Herring VC. Alfred Herring was born in Tottenham and went to Bruce Grove Primary School and Tottenham County Schools. During the First World War, he distinguished himself in battle and as a result, was awarded the Victoria Cross - the highest honour for bravery that anyone in the armed forces can receive. We were invited to watch the unveiling of a memorial stone in front of Tottenham War Memorial.
The children were very impressed with the ceremony and met and chatted with military personnel, the Mayor of Haringey, relatives of Alfred Herring and Ledley King - former Tottenham Hotspur FC player. What an inspiration for all our pupils showing that if we work hard and are dedicated we can all make a positive contribution to our community and the country.
On Friday key stage 2 went to Bruce Castle Park and participated in their cross country run. The children were sponsored to run and all the money raised will be going to the charity Street Child.
It was lovely to see so many parents supporting their children and even joining in.
Well done everyone for your fantastic efforts.
