• Shakespeare Rocks

  Year 3, 4 and 5 Concert

   

  The Year 3, 4 and 5 children performed Shakepeare Rocks to the whole school and the parents yesterday.

  All of the children sang beautifully and the actors told the story very well.

  A big well done to everyone that got involved and a special thank you to Mr Lannen and Mr Elliot.

  A great production that had the whole school rocking!

• Year 4 Music Spring Concert

  The year 4 children have all been learning to play the clarinet or the trumpet. 

   

  Today the children performed a selection of songs to the whole school and the parents. 

   

  Well done everyone to see how much the children have learnt.  It was also lovely to see the year 5 children, who have continued on this year, show off their skills.

• Book Week at Bruce Grove

  Book Week at Bruce Grove

   

  This year the theme for book week was 'The Joy of Reading' we really wanted children to relax and read for pleasure. 

   

  During the week we were really lucky to have the author Neil Arksey come in and talk to us about his job and tell us some of his fantastic stories. 

   

  We also had a reading café where children read in a cosy environment with some warm Ribena.  To finish off the week we had a pajama day when everyone came into school in their pajamas where they listened and read some bedtime stories. 

   

  It was an enjoyable week for all.  Thank you to Ms Nwaneri and the school council for arranging.

• Goodbye Bonny

  Today we said goodbye to our site manager who has been working at the school for over 23 years. 

   

  We had a lovely assembly and showered him with gifts.

   

  Thank you for all the families for their kind donations. 

   

  We will miss you Bonny, enjoy your retirement. 

   

   

  

• Bollywood comes to BGP

  Today we had a Bollywood dancer come into school and teach the children some of her moves.

  At Bruce Grove Primary School, we promote British Values across everything we do. 

   

  The British Values are: 

  • Democracy
  • Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect and Tolerance

   

  We thought about what it's like to live in Britain and some interesting facts that people living in Britain should know, so we held the Great British Quiz. 

   

  All of key stage 1 and 2 worked in groups of 3 to answer or research as many questions as they could.  The winning teams will win prizes.
