During the month of October, we celebrated Black History Month.  We ended with a wonderful  community celebration with plenty of singing, dancing, storytelling, a fashion show and delicious food.  Thank you to everyone that came along and joined in, it was a huge success and even made it into the local paper.

Bruce Grove March to the Quarter Finals
BGP Boys and girls teams stormed to the quarter finals of the St Thomas More Football tournament. The boys team were undefeated through the group games.  They defend well, only letting in two goals in seven games. Yet, it was their attack which stole the show, with 14 goals, notable mentions to Michael (9 goals) and Mohamed L (4). However the girls also deserve time in the spotlight, with them winning three and drawing one of their five games. The girls defended well, with Safia saving lots of difficult shots. Yet again it was the attack which dominated, with Shanique scoring 6 goals and Marie-Sara and Sarafina scoring one a piece. However, sadly both teams were knocked out in close quarter finals, with the girls and the boys both losing 1-0.
