Finsbury Park is a large public park in the Harringay area of north London, notable for its wide lawns and a long history of hosting outdoor events and concerts. Opened in 1869 and laid out by landscape designer Alexander McKenzie, the park covers about 45 hectares (110 acres) and includes a boating lake, an athletics track, tennis courts, a skatepark, playgrounds and a café. It has held large music events for decades and has held a Green Flag award since 2007, while visitors also come for running, informal sport, family outings and picnics, with good public transport links nearby.
