Welcome back, after yet another Lockdown & the Easter break .
We hope this will be a great final term for the children in Year 6 before they move onto Secondary School.
We shall be continuing to work hard on our Maths & English skills to prepare the children for their Summer Assessments and of course Year 7!
As always the children are expected to read daily and complete all homework tasks.
This term the children can look forward to swimming, as well as their specialist PE lessons.
As the days become warmer, please ensure that your children have water bottles so that they may stay hydrated during the day.
We look forward to enjoying the Summer sun and having lots of fun this term !!
Welcome back to a brand new academic year!
It's been a long wait, but it is wonderful to be back together again. We will start year 6 by establishing good routines and behaviour. It is important that we are able to discuss our emotions and feelings about how different the last few months have been.
We will also have to spend some time on revision, so we feel confident and ready to start year 6.
It's going to be tough at times and you will all have to work very hard, but it's also going to be GREAT!
Over the past few weeks we have been focusing on our author Malorie Blackman. We have learnt a great deal about her life from childhood to adulthood. The children have discovered how Malorie was resilient and never gave up even when times were tough.
Our class display features many of her books and facts about her life. Such an inspiration to all !!!
Last Friday, Alim Kamara made his annual visit to our school to discuss Black History. He was as vibrant and engaging as ever and the children loved learning new and interesting historical facts about Black History.
What a fabulous session... we learnt so much...
take look at the photos.
