Welcome back after the break. The children continue to work hard in class and are looking forward to their last few weeks at Bruce Grove Primary School. We have been discussing their mixed emotions of excitement as they embark on a new chapter in their lives, as well as some of their worries about starting Secondary School. Have a look below to see some of their amazing work!
Welcome to 6F
Teacher: Mrs J Finisterre-Martin
Teaching Assistant: Ms Debbie Frewer
This year all of our classes are named after authors. We are William Shakespeare class.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Shakespeare's life and what inspired him to pen plays and poems. They have read his biographies, re-enacted scenes from Macbeth, wrote letters and character descriptions based on characters from Hamlet and Macbeth. Often, we discuss and debate the big ideas that arise from the plays; like greed, power, revenge, friendship, loyalty and death.
We are currently reading The Tempest as our class reader. Throughout this term we will be reading, performing and analysing events and characters from more of his plays.
Our classroom display showcases their portraiture on Shakespeare and diary enteries as Macbeth- following the victorious battle against the Norwegians, as well as Banquo's & Macbeth's first encounter with the three witches. They have also written letters from the grave as the murdered King Duncan or Banquo to Macbeth. Have a look below in our Amazing Authors section to see some of their outstanding writing.
