Welcome to E.B. White Class
Class Teacher : Miss Ahako
4A have been learning about Elwyn Brooks White as their class author. E.B. White was an American writer. White was born on July 11, 1899, in Mount Vernon, New York. He was a writer and contributing editor to The New Yorker magazine, and also a co-author of the English language style guide The Elements of Style.
In 1930, E.B. White started writing children's fiction books on behalf of a niece, Janice Hart White. He was the author of several highly popular books for children, including Stuart Little, Charlotte's Web, and The Trumpet of the Swan.
Science experiment- Understanding how forces work.
The children carried out an experiment to understand what factors can
affect moving forces when running, using a parachute.
All class names are based on famous writing authors.
We have been learning about E.B White's life, his background and books. With this, we began reading one of his most famous story book called 'Charlotte's Web'. We did some amazing character profile writing based on the first few chapters of the story. Not only this, we made use of our artistic skills to produce amazing oil pastel character drawings and beautiful portraits paintings of E.B. White. These were all used to create our brilliant class display.
