Welcome to 3D.  Our class is named after Ted Hughes who is a famous children's author and poet. He was born on the 17th August 1930 in in West Riding in Yorkshire. From 1984 until his death on 28th October 1998, he was the British Poet Laureate. Hughes is considered one of the most significant and innovative English poets of recent times.

We have settled into our new class and are working well.

3D's The Iron Man by Ted Hughes Display, which was inspired by the book, is a collection of acrostic poems and chalk drawings created by the class.

Pyjamarama Day. We wore our pyjamas and listened to stories to raise money for the Book Trust.

Making kaleidoscopes after learning about reflection and mirrors.

Inspired by the work of Margaret Godfrey, we made volcano collages and wrote poems for our class display.

We went to Bruce Castle Museum to find out about the past through pictures and the building.
