Welcome to Anthony Browne class!
I am really excited to go on learning journey with your child this term. This year your
child would have lots of opportunities to extend their literacy, numeracy, scientific and ICT skills. Through out the year we would also work on different history, geography and RE topics. The children will have PE twice a week.
Our class is named after a famous British children’s author, Anthony Browne.
Browne has written or illustrated over fifty children’s books. He has won two Kate Greenway Medals from the Library association and received Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2000.
October is a Black History Month.
In our class we are learning about Mary Seacole - a famous British - Jamaican nurse who provided food and care for the sick British soldiers during Crimean War.
In science we are learning about materials and their properties. The children enjoyed sorting and classifying objects according to the materials they are made out of.
