This year our class is named after a famous author and illustrator; Oliver Jeffers. Over the term, we will be learning all about our chosen author,so please keep an eye on all the exciting things we will do,including a display in the school hall which we will upload here for you to see.
Oliver Jeffers was in Australia in 1977 but moved to Belfast in Northern Ireland where he grew up. He now lives in Brooklyn.
He likes to tell stories and draw pictures.
Oliver Jeffers liked playing the 'spoons' when he was a teenager. He also wanted to form a band but couldn't find anyone to play with him.
He has written so many books but our favourites are 'Stuck', 'How to catch a star', 'Lost and found', 'Up and Down' and the book he illustrated 'The day the crayons came home'.
Look out for these brilliant picture books by OLIVER JEFFERS!
