We also learnt how to play Mancala, an African counting game.
Empire Windrush Models

During Science week we learnt about space in an inflatable planetarium. We made and investigated the best way to make our rockets fly.
In Science we have been investigating how sound travels through different materials.
We also made string telephones and investigated which worked best.
The Library of Everything
A mysterious bookcase magically appeared next to our classroom. With an old book from Peter, the librarian who follows the bookcase, we were able to enter the Library of Everything. We were given an important job to write stories to fill an empty shelf in the library.
We were transported back in time to Ancient Egyptian times. We learnt about their daily life and jobs which included making bread, oil, oil lamps, cartouches, canopic jars, perfume cones, charms, paintings and scrolls.
We ended the day the day with a banquet and entertainment.
